Why we process information
We process personal information only to answer a garden enquiry, to visit and work on a garden you invited us to, to send monthly notes you subscribed to, and to keep the records a small business needs for tax and a simple paper trail. We do not use your information for automated decisions, credit scoring or unsolicited marketing lists.
What we process
Typical fields are name, email, telephone or WhatsApp number, suburb, and whatever you write about the garden. We do not collect special personal information (health, religion, biometric data) on this website. If a garden visit later needs more detail, we will ask you then, not through a hidden form.
Who else may see it
A visit brief may be sent by email to madelein@madeleintuin.co.za, which is the studio mailbox at Domains.co.za. Map lookups use OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service. We do not hand your details to other landscapers. Part-time crew (Vinot, Brian, Thabo, Vincet) may see a first name, suburb and site notes when they are booked to work on that garden.
Security and retention
We keep access to studio tools limited and we do not publish subscriber lists. Enquiry notes are kept only while the job or conversation is live, then removed unless the law requires us to keep an invoice trail. You may object to processing, or request access, correction or deletion, by writing to the address above. We will answer in a reasonable time.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. Their site is inforegulator.org.za. Please write to us first so we can try to put it right.
